The Now Now

October 2025

General

On October 25, I went to the Art Ghoullery Reception at The Rourke Art Gallery and Museum and had a lot of fun seeing my paintings on display and seeing friends!

I started doing daily tarot card pulls again. I used to do a reading every single day for years(!) but kinda stopped during grad school and didn't pick it up again. Until now!

As mentioned last month, my computer is incompatible with Windows 11 so I finally switched to Linux Mint. I like it a lot so far but there are still some hiccups as I get everything set up exactly the way I want it. Most of my programs were already Linux-compatible but I have to spend hours fighting to find workarounds for the ones that are not. Like my Silhouette Portrait paper cutter UGH I spent like 3 hours yesterday getting that to work with Inkscape. But I did it 🔪

My first full week-ish of October was full of illness and/or mental exhaustion and now I'm alarmed that the month is nearly halfway over already.

Art Projects

1. I was doing Mab Graves' Dralloween but fell behind and idk if I'll pick it back up lol

2. I feel like I'm in limbo because I don't have any big projects right now. So I guess my project is coming up with project(s). Kinda want to start doing some oil painting...[UPDATE] I found this video, Build a plan to DIY Art School, and it lit a fire under my butt. I built a year-long plan starting in November (this weekend!)

Other Projects
