General
I can't believe 2025 is almost over.
It is very cold where I am so I have been doing a lot of indoor activities:
- Bookbinding (which I have not done in years!)
- Darning old socks
- Jumproping / Elliptical
I still go outside sometimes, and snowshoed onto the frozen lake for the first time this season.
Storygraph dropped their 2026 Genre Challenge, Reads the World Challenge, and Onboarding Challenge, so I've been having fun planning out my reading lists!
My community orchestra performed a Christmas concert on December 21 (icymi I am a clarinetist).
Art Projects
I painted a kea.
I painted a small memorial portrait for my friend.
Detemined to finish a sketchbook that I started in January 2024, I
am sketching a bunch of people on r/redditgetsdrawn
and r/drawme.
Other Projects
Made my first shrine, for the 2025 Secret Shrine-ta event: Purple Cats
Starting to move my art notes/resources from Notion (which I no longer use due to its incompatibility with Linux) to a section here on Yogo Magpie (there are no live pages yet).
